In this case, we probably should do something to update the largely obsolete "paranormal romance" but there's some concern about the subtler shadings of "fantasy romance," "romantic fantasy," or "romantasy" - and they don't really include horror romance or SF romance. "Speculative romance" covers a broader spectrum, but for some, "speculative" has just become a way to imply a literary quality that couldn't possibly be SF or fantasy; the SF ghetto still exists. And what do we do about "cozy" - pray this charming trend dies young?
