The word genocide is too mild to describe what happened to us in this war. Do you know what it means to have your house bombed indiscriminately, your daughter dying in your arms, your hand and face injured, and your other children watching with fear in their eyes? Our homes aren't military sites to be bombed with such brutality. Or should I tell you about the famine that occurred here, and the cries of our children from hunger and the diseases that afflicted them?

If you don't believe anything, let me speak to you directly in a video and show you how we live and what our situation is like. Or, if you can bear five minutes of this endless suffering—of disease, hunger, fear, and terror—even now our children go to bed hungry. Their greatest wish is to taste fruit or eat any kind of meat. Unfortunately, you cannot imagine this suffering.
