@bruces I don’t think that video’s strange, pretty standard early 90s rave music.
For early weird music, I was going to say John Cage, but he studied with Schoenberg, so I’ll go with the atonal composers. Depends on what you consider weird?

The band Coil in that era was weirdly odd and delightfully occult. Songs like "Love's Secret Domain" and "Things Happen" immediately jump to mind.
Weird? How far back do you wanna go? 27-year-old Hector Berlioz (pre-video, pre-record) got pretty dam weird (for his day) with his 1830 "ymphonie fantastique".

Begone dull care is much later, and has jazz which was more experimental.
Oskar Fischinger did An Optical Poem before WW2, but it's experimental visuals with classical music.
